Hello friend. I welcome you to my cyber nest.

I began this blog several years ago, to show off my craft and chat with other crafters. (I have just recently switched to WordPress due to Blogger not working well out here in this rural community). Since then, I have traveled back and forth from America to Australia several times with my family. My partner is Tasmanian, a teacher, which is what has brought us up into the Kimberley (West Australia) to live.

I have two awesome boys, aged 6 and 3. They look like me and sound like him.

I am from the South, the state of Georgia to be exact. I garden, cook, knit, sew, quilt, crochet, make dolls, play instruments and sing, and homeschool children. I love being around likeminded people.

Living overseas has opened up my eyes to the world, and other cultures, and accepting all of that just as it is. My children were all born overseas. I now cook meat pies and say “rubbish bin” and “toilet” and “sticky tape” and “tea”.  I think my accent has gone a little Australian.

I can’t wait to move back home. I miss people who hug too much and say thank you and god bless you and bless your heart and offer you pie at 10am. Or 10pm. I miss southern hospitality, and especially southern food. I can’t wait to stuff myself with Grits and Collard Greens and BBQ and Pecan Pie. I miss my family. I’ve got a great family. We all sit round and swing our legs and chit chat and sing songs and laugh. Front Porch sitting, Oak Tree Chillin’ ……… now that’s home.

Anyway, blah blah. That’s me. Now who are you?
