HORSE pattern giveaway here _____> go now !!
Gosh. It’s been awhile people. I used this blog exclusively for a year or two when I got sick of my Blogger one.
Then I got homesick and went back, and now well you know. Anyway, I ‘m knitting ! There are so many wonderful
spring knits out now! I’m surprisingly not knitting a Veera knit right now , which makes me kindof sad and out of sorts,
but ! I am knitting one or two of Carrie Bostick Hoge’s designs, and I am finishing up a test knit for Joji – Worsted boxy ,
and then I must cast on a test knit , a darling little spring v neck sweater top for dear Isabell !
I planted my seeds today ! All in pots or little starter trays. I think its still too cold at night to set them strait out.
Adding new things to the mix this year, its my first real garden in so very long. I have high hopes and dreams and truly am so excited!
I must now, however, go and get supper organized, and then go and get all the many loads off the hiils hoist, and then bring all my darling little seeds inside, its gonna be chilly tonite baby !! :)
Knitting a Cashmere shawl – from Taproot this month.
Hello good people of the earth !!!!
Now that the eye candy of the new year has been presented, its time to share some news!
We’re moving into our very own house this year!
We’re having a baby this year!
We’re getting married this year!
(no need to rush things , he hee)
Busy looking into cashmere wedding shawls, – think i’ve picked this one – marriage certificates, homeschool registration, baby blankets, cast iron bathtubs, oooh its all happening.
The knitted sweater above belongs to my dear Jackson – its a Gathering Stripes by Veera Valimaki. I loooove her, and she will soon be publishing her first baby knits,,,, whoooo how excited I am !
The crochet squares above are for this blanket by the Purlbee.com. I love Wollmeise yarn, its squishy soft. I haven’t done crochet in ages and I am happy to be back into it. In other crafty news, I will hopefully be saying HELLO to my new santa claus pressie this week ….. as it still sits patiently in its pretty box. :)
I’ve been doing some blog reading/ catching up and hope to do more soon. I do hope you are all well friends, and greeting this special new year with a big SMILE.
Hello everyone ! I am directing you to my other blog where you can enter once, or twice, to win a copy of Veera Valamaki’s new Shawl Pattern ! Soon to be published on ravelry. To win, go here ! Go now ! Good luck !
Hello!!!!!!!! It’s been awhile, I’ve been busy cooking, knitting for gifts, ebay shopping, and homeschooling ! :)
Oh and packing sorting and tossing for our great migration move ! :)
But I have also been reading … lots of folks from Ginny’s Yarn Along several weeks ago commented on the Lovely Bones book I was reading and I would like to say, although it was grim and sad and depressing ——- it was also definitely a book to be read as it gave a great (true) insight to what i believe happens after death. Particularly to someone wrongfully or suddenly lost , and it tells that a person’s spirit is able to move on easier IF the loved ones left behind let the grief go and become ‘ok’ with the loss. Lessons to be learned by this book. Great author. Hard to put down. Hard to forget.
So…. I am working on exciting knits ! Finishing up an white fluffy alpaca hat for a gift, and a beautiful MadTosh Shawl for me !
My Doris Lessing books have arrived from the library, which one to read first !??
Actually I am still reading A room of one’s own , by Virginia Woolf. Sometimes , when you feel and see things like I do, you need a little Virginia in your life. This Woolf lady and I are great friends. Her sarcastic wit and view of the world, and men, and writers, and pompus English class, and prunes, just drives me into fits of laughter. If I were to see her walking down the street, I would follow her. She would like my shoes. And I , her swagger. x
