yarning along

Happy Wednesday at the Yarn Along!!

{a bit of strangness here  actually, a day i’ll never forget..but we won’t go into that}

More importantly , the knitting ! I am casting on my beloved MadelineTosh Vintage Thunderstorm for Veera’s newest cardigan , and I love love love it.

I am reading ! Actually reading a book reading ! It is called The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. It is far from a happy book, and I do hope it takes some type of magical ephiponal turn for the better soon.

Wishing you all a blessed Easter break. xx

  1. It’s often hard to see the pattern in dark colors, but that one shows up nicely. Very lovely!

  2. I give you credit for reading that book. I happened to see a preview for the movie when it came out and was slightly aghast that it was made into a movie. I don’t think that I could make it through the book though. I hope it turns out well.

  3. I read that book ages ago. I did enjoy it, though I’m not sure you’ll get your turn for the better anytime soon.

  4. I’ve heard about the book and movie, but have neither read it nor seen it. I do plan on doing both though…

  5. I read the book ages ago and I think I enjoyed it too – but I didn’t see the film. Happy films are my cup of tea.
    Your knitting looks lovely!

  6. Your knitting is so pretty, I don’t know if I could read the book after I saw what the movie was about (I couldn’t watch that either – call me chicken).

  12. Not sure I can cope with a sad story, but I’ll wait to see how you find it. Nice choice on the darker yarn. Prefer it to the lighter colour in the pattern picture.

  13. The design is very pretty.
    I used to read a lot of scary book… I think I’m too sensible for that and I’m more into a fantastical genre phase.

  16. Beautiful knitting — what a gorgeous cardigan that will make! A friend recommended that same book to me — I’ll be interested to hear how you like it after you’ve finished it. I haven’t read it, myself.
